- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/2 tsp ground cumin
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
Instructions
- Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 3 minutes.
- In a large bowl, combine cubed pork belly, olive oil, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, smoked paprika, cumin, and soy sauce. Toss well to coat evenly.
- Arrange the seasoned pork belly pieces in a single layer in the air fryer basket, avoiding overcrowding.
- Air fry at 400°F (200°C) for 20-25 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until the pork belly is golden brown and crisp.
- Remove the pork belly bites from the air fryer, let them rest for 3 minutes, and serve hot. Enjoy with your favorite dipping sauce.
Notes
- For crispier skin, pat the pork belly dry with paper towels before cooking.
- Don’t overcrowd the air fryer basket; cook in batches if necessary.
- Preheating the air fryer helps achieve better crispiness.
- If you don’t have five-spice powder, smoked paprika or a mix of cinnamon and clove can be used.
- Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for up to 2 days and reheated in the air fryer.
