Description

This Beef Enchilada Casserole combines seasoned ground beef, melted cheese, and zesty sauce in an easy-to-assemble dish.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 can enchilada sauce (15 oz)
  • 2 cups shredded cheese
  • 10 corn tortillas
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet, brown the ground beef and onion over medium heat.
  3. Add chili powder, cumin, and salt. Stir to combine.
  4. Layer 3 tortillas in a baking dish.
  5. Spread half of the beef mixture over the tortillas.
  6. Pour half of the enchilada sauce over the beef.
  7. Add a layer of cheese.
  8. Repeat the layers with the remaining tortillas, beef, sauce, and cheese.
  9. Bake for 25-30 minutes until cheese is bubbly.
  10. Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
