- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Fresh parsley, for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook pasta shells according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add garlic and sauté until fragrant. Add ground beef, cook until browned, and drain excess fat.
- In a bowl, combine cooked beef, ricotta cheese, half the mozzarella, Parmesan cheese, egg, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
- Fill each pasta shell with the beef and ricotta mixture and arrange in a baking dish.
- Pour marinara sauce over the filled shells and sprinkle with the remaining mozzarella cheese.
- Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake for another 15 minutes, or until golden and bubbly.
- Let rest for 10-15 minutes before serving. Garnish with parsley if desired.
