Description

Classic Chimichurri Sauce with Herbs & Garlic is a zesty Argentinian condiment packed with fresh parsley, garlic, vinegar, and olive oil. Perfect for grilled meats, vegetables, or dipping.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup fresh parsley, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup fresh cilantro, finely chopped (optional)
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 tablespoons red wine vinegar
  • 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Finely chop the parsley and cilantro by hand or pulse in a food processor.
  2. Mince the garlic into very small pieces.
  3. In a bowl, combine the chopped herbs, garlic, and oregano.
  4. Add red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper, and mix well.
  5. Stir in red wine vinegar.
  6. Slowly drizzle in olive oil while stirring until fully incorporated.
  7. Let the chimichurri sit for 10 to 15 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
  8. Serve immediately or refrigerate in an airtight container.
