Description

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups crushed chocolate sandwich cookies (like Oreos)
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 24 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup chopped chocolate sandwich cookies

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Combine crushed cookies and melted butter. Press into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan.
  3. Bake the crust for 10 minutes. Let cool.
  4. In a large bowl, beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth.
  5. Beat in vanilla extract and eggs one at a time.
  6. Stir in sour cream.
  7. Fold in the chopped cookies.
  8. Pour the filling over the crust.
  9. Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until the center is just set.
  10. Turn off the oven and let the cheesecake cool in the oven with the door ajar for 1 hour.
  11. Remove from oven and cool completely on a wire rack.
  12. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours before serving.

Notes

  • For a no-bake version, chill the cheesecake until firm.
