This easy croffle recipe transforms store-bought croissant dough into a crispy, golden waffle-style pastry in just 10 minutes.

- 1 can 8 oz refrigerated croissant dough (8-count)
- 1 tablespoon unsalted butter (melted, optional)
- 1 tablespoon granulated sugar (optional, for caramelization)
- 2 tablespoons powdered sugar (for garnish)
- Maple syrup (for serving, optional)
- Whipped Cream (optional)
- Nutella or chocolate spread (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the waffle iron to medium-high heat.
- Lightly grease the waffle iron with melted butter or cooking spray.
- Remove the croissant dough from the can and separate into individual pieces. If perforated, gently press seams together.
- For a caramelized crust, lightly sprinkle granulated sugar on both sides of the dough.
- Place one piece of croissant dough in the center of the waffle iron.
- Close the lid and cook for 3–5 minutes, or until golden brown and crisp.
- Carefully remove the croffle using tongs or a spatula.
- Allow to cool for 1–2 minutes to crisp up further.
- Dust with powdered sugar and serve warm with maple syrup or desired toppings.
