Description
Dill Pickle Saltines are a crunchy, tangy snack that combines salty flavors with a hint of dill and ranch.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 box (about 16 oz salted saltine crackers)
- 3/4 cup neutral oil (canola, vegetable, or light olive oil)
- 1 packet dry ranch seasoning mix
- 2 tbsp dried dill weed
- 1 tbsp dill pickle seasoning or powdered vinegar (optional, for extra tang)
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp onion powder
- 1/4 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
Instructions
- In a small bowl, whisk together oil, ranch seasoning, dried dill, pickle seasoning (if using), garlic powder, onion powder, and red pepper flakes.
- Place saltines in a large sealable bag or container with a tight lid.
- Pour the seasoning mixture over the crackers.
- Seal and slowly turn the container several times to evenly coat the crackers without breaking them.
- Let the crackers sit at room temperature for 12–24 hours.
- Gently turn or shake the container every few hours so the flavor distributes evenly.
- Once fully absorbed, crackers are ready to eat.
- Store in an airtight container for up to 1 week.
Notes
- For extra tang, add dill pickle seasoning or powdered vinegar.
- Adjust the level of garlic and onion powder to your taste.
- Ensure the container is sealed well to keep crackers fresh.
