Description

Crisp, sweet, and slightly tart apple slices coated in caramel, perfect for snacking or gifting. This easy recipe brings back nostalgic flavors with minimal active time.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 Apples (Granny Smith, Honeycrisp, or Fuji recommended)
  • 0.25 cup Caramel Sauce (Store-bought or homemade)

Instructions

  1. Slice the apples as thinly as possible, about 1/8 inch thick. A mandoline slicer is recommended for even slices.
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  3. Arrange the apple slices in a single layer, ensuring they don’t overlap too much.
  4. Drizzle the caramel sauce over the apple slices. A spoon or piping bag can be used.
  5. Bake in a preheated oven at 200°F (95°C) for 2 to 3 hours.
  6. Flip the slices halfway through to ensure even crisping.
  7. The chips are done when they feel dry and firm to the touch.

Notes

  • Store cooled chips in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3-5 days.
  • For extra flavor, sprinkle with cinnamon, nutmeg, pumpkin pie spice, chocolate drizzle, or chopped nuts.
