Instructions

  1. Prepare the dough: Combine lukewarm milk, instant yeast, and honey in a mixing bowl. Add flour, beaten egg, butter, and salt; mix to form dough.
  2. Knead the dough: Knead on a floured surface for 10–12 minutes until elastic. Cover and let rise until doubled.
  3. Shape the rolls: Deflate the dough, divide into 16 pieces, and shape into balls.
  4. Stack and coat: Stack two flattened dough pieces, press, and coat each side with fine semolina.
  5. Final rise: Place dough pieces on a baking sheet and let them rise again until doubled.
