This refreshing homemade lemonade recipe is the perfect balance of sweet and tart.
Ingredients

- 1 cup fresh lemon juice
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup water (for simple syrup)
- 4 cups cold water
- Ice cubes (optional)
- Fresh mint (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Combine 1 cup granulated sugar and 1 cup water in a saucepan. Heat and stir until sugar is fully dissolved. Let cool.
- Roll and juice lemons to make 1 cup of lemon juice. Strain to remove seeds and pulp.
- In a pitcher, mix the lemon juice and cooled syrup.
- Add 4 cups of cold water and stir well.
- Chill in the fridge for 30 minutes.
- Serve over ice and garnish with mint if desired.
