This One Pan Tangy Honey BBQ Chicken Penne recipe is a quick and easy dinner idea perfect for busy weeknights. It combines tender chicken, penne pasta, honey BBQ sauce, and cheddar cheese all in one skillet.

- 1 lb chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 small onion, diced
- 8 oz penne pasta
- 3 cups chicken broth
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1/2 cup BBQ sauce
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
Instructions
- Cut chicken breast into bite-sized chunks.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Sear the chicken until golden and fully cooked, then set aside.
- In the same pan, add more oil if needed, and sauté the diced onion and garlic until softened and fragrant.
- Stir in the penne pasta, chicken broth, honey, BBQ sauce, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat to low, cover, and let it simmer for 12–15 minutes until pasta is tender and liquid is mostly absorbed.
- Add the cooked chicken back to the pan and stir well.
- Sprinkle cheddar cheese over the top, stir until melted and creamy.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.
