- 2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 (1 oz) packet ranch seasoning mix
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional, for topping)
Instructions
- Place chicken breasts in the bottom of your slow cooker.
- Sprinkle the ranch seasoning mix evenly over the chicken.
- Pour the chicken broth around the chicken.
- Cook on low for 4-6 hours or on high for 2-3 hours, until the chicken is cooked through and tender.
- Remove the chicken from the slow cooker and shred it using two forks.
- Return the shredded chicken to the slow cooker.
- Stir in the softened cream cheese and sour cream until well combined and creamy.
- If using, stir in the shredded cheddar cheese.
- Serve the creamy ranch chicken hot, perhaps over rice or pasta.
Notes
- For a thinner sauce, add a little more chicken broth.
