A comforting dish inspired by classic deli flavors in a Reuben sandwich.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cans refrigerated crescent roll dough
- 12 oz sliced corned beef (chopped or torn)
- 1 1/2 cups shredded Swiss cheese
- 1 cup sauerkraut (drained and patted dry)
- 1/2 cup Thousand Island dressing
- 1 tbsp melted butter
- 1/2 tsp caraway seeds (optional, for classic flavor)
- Nonstick spray or butter for the baking dish
Instructions
- Heat oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Unroll one can of crescent dough and press it into the bottom of the dish, sealing the seams to form a solid crust.
- Spread corned beef evenly over the dough. Sprinkle with Swiss cheese, followed by sauerkraut. Drizzle Thousand Island dressing over the top.
- Unroll the second can of crescent dough and place it over the filling, gently pressing seams together to cover completely.
- Brush the top with melted butter and sprinkle with caraway seeds if using. Bake uncovered for 28–32 minutes, or until golden brown and baked through.
- Let cool for 5–10 minutes before slicing. Serve warm.
