A quick and flavorful sausage and cabbage stir fry featuring savory sausage, tender cabbage, and colorful vegetables. This easy sausage cabbage skillet meal comes together in under 30 minutes and is packed with hearty, satisfying flavors, perfect for a weeknight dinner.


Ingredients

  • 12 oz smoked sausage, sliced
  • 1 small head green cabbage, cored and sliced
  • 1 medium onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 medium carrots, julienned
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  2. Add sliced sausage and cook for 3-4 minutes until browned. Remove sausage and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add onion and carrots. Stir fry for 2-3 minutes until slightly softened.
  4. Add garlic and sliced cabbage. Stir fry for 5-6 minutes until cabbage is tender but still crisp.
  5. Return sausage to the skillet. Add soy sauce, black pepper, and salt to taste. Stir well and cook for another 2 minutes until heated through.
  6. Serve hot, garnished with fresh herbs if desired.

Notes

  • If you want it saucier, add a splash of chicken broth or a bit more soy sauce.
  • For a spicy kick, add sriracha or chili crisp at the end.
  • If using pre-shredded cabbage, it can get mushy quickly, so watch it closely.
