Description
An incredibly simple and crowd-pleasing appetizer recipe that uses a slow cooker to prepare little smokies in a sweet and tangy BBQ sauce glaze. Perfect for holidays and parties.
Ingredients
Scale
- 24 ounces cocktail sausages (Little Smokies)
- 1.5 cups BBQ sauce
- 1 cup grape jelly
Instructions
- Combine Everything: Grab your slow cooker. Open your package of cocktail sausages and pour them right into the slow cooker. Then, pour in your BBQ sauce and your grape jelly.
- Stir It Up: Give everything a good stir. You want those little sausages to be coated in that glorious BBQ and jelly mixture. Make sure they’re all nestled in there, ready to get nice and warm.
- Let the Slow Cooker Work Its Magic: Put the lid on your slow cooker. Cook on the LOW setting for 2-3 hours or on the HIGH setting for 1-2 hours, until heated through and the sauce is bubbly.
- Stir Occasionally: While the slow cooker does its thing, give them a stir every so often to ensure even heating and prevent sticking.
- Serve: Serve them warm right out of the slow cooker with toothpicks for easy dipping.
Notes
- Can be made on the stovetop in a saucepan over medium-low heat for about 15-20 minutes.
- Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3-4 days and reheated gently.
