Instructions
- In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter completely.
- Whisk in the flour and stir for about one minute to cook out the raw flavor.
- Slowly whisk in the milk until smooth and slightly thickened, about 3 to 5 minutes.
- Reduce the heat to low and gradually add the American and cheddar cheeses. Stir until melted and smooth.
- Stir in jalapeño juice, salt, and garlic powder. Adjust seasoning as needed.
- Serve warm as a dip or sauce. Reheat with a splash of milk to maintain texture.
