Ingredients
Scale
- 4 salmon fillets (6 ounces each)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon dried Italian herbs (oregano, basil, thyme)
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Lemon wedges (for serving)
Instructions
- Season the salmon fillets with salt and pepper on both sides.
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat.
- Add the salmon fillets to the skillet, skin-side down. Cook for about 4-5 minutes until the skin is crispy.
- Carefully flip the salmon and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes until cooked through. Remove the salmon from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Pour in the heavy cream and stir, allowing it to simmer for 2-3 minutes.
- Gradually whisk in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.
- Stir in the dried Italian herbs, and season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Place the cooked salmon back into the skillet, spooning the sauce over the top. Let it heat through for 1-2 minutes.
- Remove from heat, and garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
