Description

Delicious and easy Air Fryer Beignets made with flaky puff pastry, perfectly crisped and generously coated in powdered sugar for a sweet, indulgent treat in just minutes.


Ingredients

  • 1 sheet of puff pastry (thawed)
  • 3 cups powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Allow the sheet of puff pastry to come to room temperature for about 15 minutes to make it easier to unfold and cut.
  2. Gently unfold the puff pastry sheet on a clean surface without tearing.
  3. Cut 2 horizontal strips along the natural creases of the pastry sheet.
  4. Cut 3 vertical strips perpendicular to the horizontal ones, resulting in 9 equal squares.
  5. Place 4 squares on the air fryer crisper tray or as many as you can fit comfortably in the basket without overlapping.
  6. Air fry the puff pastry squares at 400°F (204°C) for 9 minutes until they are golden brown and puffed up.
  7. Repeat the air frying process with the remaining squares until all are cooked.
  8. Place the 3 cups of powdered sugar into a large zip-top bag. Add the warm beignets to the bag and shake gently until they are completely coated with powdered sugar.
  9. Remove beignets from the bag and serve immediately for the best texture and flavor.
