Banana Bread with Greek Yogurt: An Incredible Ultimate Recipe
Ingredients
Scale
- 3 overripe bananas, mashed
- 1 cup Greek yogurt
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional)
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts or chocolate chips (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
- In a large bowl, mash the overripe bananas until smooth.
- Add Greek yogurt, granulated sugar, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract to the mashed bananas. Mix until combined.
- In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and ground cinnamon (if using).
- Gradually add the dry ingredient mixture to the wet ingredients. Stir until just combined; do not overmix.
- Gently fold in the chopped nuts or chocolate chips if you desire additional flavor and texture.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan, smoothing it out evenly.
- Place in the preheated oven and bake for about 50-55 minutes. Check for doneness with a toothpick; it should come out clean from the center.
- Once baked, remove from the oven and allow it to cool in the pan for 15 minutes. Then, transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Once cooled, slice your Banana Bread with Greek Yogurt and serve!
