Description

Banana Bread with Greek Yogurt: An Incredible Ultimate Recipe

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 overripe bananas, mashed
  • 1 cup Greek yogurt
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional)
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts or chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mash the overripe bananas until smooth.
  3. Add Greek yogurt, granulated sugar, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract to the mashed bananas. Mix until combined.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and ground cinnamon (if using).
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredient mixture to the wet ingredients. Stir until just combined; do not overmix.
  6. Gently fold in the chopped nuts or chocolate chips if you desire additional flavor and texture.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan, smoothing it out evenly.
  8. Place in the preheated oven and bake for about 50-55 minutes. Check for doneness with a toothpick; it should come out clean from the center.
  9. Once baked, remove from the oven and allow it to cool in the pan for 15 minutes. Then, transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.
  10. Once cooled, slice your Banana Bread with Greek Yogurt and serve!
