Scale
  • 16 ounces pipe rigate pasta or shells
  • 2.5 cups whole milk
  • 1.5 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup vegetable broth
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon Slap Ya Mama seasoning or Creole seasoning
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground mustard
  • 0.5 teaspoon turmeric
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper freshly ground
  • 2 cups white cheddar cheese shredded
  • 2 cups sharp cheddar cheese shredded
  • 2 cups leftover beef brisket shredded
  • 0.25 cup beef broth
  • 0.25 cup barbecue sauce

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large saucepan or Dutch oven, heat the whole milk, heavy cream, and vegetable broth over medium heat until simmering.
  3. Whisk in the garlic powder, onion powder, Slap Ya Mama seasoning, ground mustard, turmeric, and black pepper.
  4. Gradually add the shredded white cheddar and sharp cheddar cheeses to the simmering liquid, stirring until melted and smooth. Keep heat low.
  5. In a separate small bowl, combine the shredded brisket with 0.25 cup beef broth and barbecue sauce.
