- 1 cup ricotta cheese (drained)
- 1 stick unsalted butter (softened)
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 tablespoon orange zest
- 3/4 cup mini chocolate chips
- Powdered sugar (for dusting)
Instructions
- In a large bowl, beat together the drained ricotta and softened butter until light and fluffy.
- Add the sugar and continue beating until smooth, then mix in the egg.
- Stir in the vanilla extract and orange zest.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually fold into the wet mixture until just combined.
- Gently stir in the mini chocolate chips.
- Chill the dough in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Scoop tablespoon-sized dough onto the sheet and bake for 12–14 minutes or until edges are just set.
- Cool completely on a wire rack.
- Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
