- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F.
- Melt the butter in a cast iron skillet over low heat.
- Remove from heat and stir in both sugars until smooth.
- Let the mixture cool slightly, then stir in the egg and vanilla.
- Add flour, baking soda, and salt; mix until a dough forms.
- Fold in most of the chocolate chips, saving some for topping.
- Press dough evenly into skillet and top with remaining chips.
- Bake for 20–25 minutes, until edges are golden and center is set.
- Let cool for 10 minutes before serving warm.
