- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons butter
Instructions
- Peel the sweet potatoes and slice them thinly using a mandoline or sharp knife.
- In a saucepan, warm the heavy cream with brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt until the sugar dissolves.
- In a greased baking dish, layer the sweet potato slices in overlapping rows.
- Pour the warm spiced cream mixture over the sweet potatoes evenly.
- Dot the top with butter pieces and cover the dish with foil.
- Bake at 375°F for 30 minutes covered, then remove foil and bake for another 20–25 minutes until golden and tender.
- Let rest for 10 minutes before serving.
