- 1 pound breakfast sausage
- 10 large eggs
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 6 cups cubed day-old bread
- 1 cup chopped green onions (optional for garnish)
Instructions
- Start by preheating your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish with cooking spray.
- In a large skillet, cook the breakfast sausage over medium heat until browned and fully cooked. Drain excess grease.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper until well combined.
- Stir in 1 ½ cups of shredded cheddar cheese into the egg mixture.
- Add the cooked sausage and cubed bread into the egg mixture, gently folding everything together until well-coated.
- Pour the mixture into the greased baking dish and spread evenly.
