Description

An Amazing Ultimate Recipe You Can’t Miss

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound breakfast sausage
  • 10 large eggs
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 6 cups cubed day-old bread
  • 1 cup chopped green onions (optional for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Start by preheating your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish with cooking spray.
  2. In a large skillet, cook the breakfast sausage over medium heat until browned and fully cooked. Drain excess grease.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper until well combined.
  4. Stir in 1 ½ cups of shredded cheddar cheese into the egg mixture.
  5. Add the cooked sausage and cubed bread into the egg mixture, gently folding everything together until well-coated.
  6. Pour the mixture into the greased baking dish and spread evenly.
  7. Sprinkle the remaining ½ cup of cheddar cheese on top of the casserole.
  8. Place in the preheated oven and bake for 30-35 minutes or until the casserole is set and the top is golden brown.
  9. Once cooked, remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before slicing.
  10. Optionally, sprinkle with chopped green onions for added flavor and presentation, then serve warm.
