Description

This vibrant and creamy Gochujang Pasta combines spicy, savory flavors with comforting creaminess, perfect for a quick weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz dry Fusilli Corti Bucati Pasta or any pasta shape preferred
  • 2 tablespoons Gochujang (Korean Red Chili Pepper Paste Sauce)
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced or pressed
  • 4 tablespoons salted butter
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • ½ cup shredded parmesan or cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • ½ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper (optional)
  • 2 teaspoons chopped parsley (optional)

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of water to a rolling boil. Optionally, add salt to the water to enhance the pasta flavor.
  2. Add the pasta to the boiling water and cook for 7-12 minutes, or until it reaches your desired texture. Drain the pasta and set it aside.
  3. In a sauté pan, heat the butter and olive oil over medium heat until melted. Add the minced garlic and optional black pepper, cooking for 30 to 60 seconds until the garlic is fragrant.
  4. Stir in the gochujang paste, heavy cream, and shredded cheese. Cook for 1 to 2 minutes, stirring frequently, until the sauce thickens and becomes creamy.
  5. Add the cooked pasta to the sauce in the pan and toss gently to coat every strand.
  6. Transfer the pasta to serving plates, garnish with parsley if desired, and enjoy immediately.

Notes

  • For a spicier dish, add more gochujang.
  • Feel free to substitute the type of pasta used.
  • Serve with extra parmesan cheese on top if desired.
