- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 egg
- 1/2 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 cup sliced mushrooms
- 3/4 cup sour cream
- 2 tbsp flour
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 2 tbsp chopped parsley
- 12 oz egg noodles, cooked
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, onion, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix and roll into small meatballs.
- In a skillet, heat butter over medium heat and brown meatballs on all sides. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add more butter and sauté mushrooms until tender. Sprinkle flour over mushrooms and stir well.
- Gradually pour in beef broth, stirring constantly until the sauce thickens slightly.
- Return meatballs to the skillet, reduce heat, cover, and let simmer for 15 minutes.
- Turn off heat and stir in sour cream until fully blended.
- Serve hot over cooked egg noodles and garnish with chopped parsley.
