- 1 packet taco seasoning

- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 (10 ounce) can diced tomatoes and green chilies, undrained
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1/4 cup salsa
- 1 tablespoon lime juice
- 8–10 taco shells or tortillas
- Optional toppings: shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, shredded cheese, sour cream, guacamole, salsa, chopped cilantro
Instructions
- Combine taco seasoning, chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper in a small bowl. Rub the chicken breasts with the spice mixture.
- Place the seasoned chicken breasts in your slow cooker.
- In a separate bowl, mix together the diced tomatoes and green chilies, chicken broth, salsa, and lime juice.
- Pour the liquid mixture over the chicken in the slow cooker.
- Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours or on high for 2-3 hours, until the chicken is cooked through and tender.
- Remove the chicken from the slow cooker and shred it with two forks.
- Return the shredded chicken to the slow cooker and stir to coat with the sauce.
