Description

Sugar Snails are soft, spiraled pastries coated in butter, sugar, and warmth.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 sheet refrigerated puff pastry or crescent dough (thawed)
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter (melted)
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla extract (optional)
  • Powdered sugar (for dusting, optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a small bowl, mix sugar and cinnamon. Stir in vanilla if using.
  3. Unroll the dough on a clean surface. Brush evenly with melted butter, then sprinkle the sugar mixture over the top.
  4. Starting from the long edge, roll the dough into a tight log. Slice into 1-inch rounds.
  5. Place slices cut-side up on the prepared baking sheet, spacing slightly apart. Bake for 15–18 minutes, until puffed and golden.
  6. Cool slightly, then dust with powdered sugar if desired. Serve warm or at room temperature.
